Profile
Mr. Forrest Ye Sen has broad experience in cross-border commercial disputes. He has regularly acted for clients in high profile cases which involve disputes adjudicated in Hong Kong with Chinese Mainland elements.
He is dually qualified to practice law in both Hong Kong and the Mainland. He practiced as a lawyer in the Mainland for several years before being qualifed as a Hong Kong solicitor. Such experience contributes to his understanding and handling of cases with Mainland elements.
Experience
Acted for a Chinese property developer to enforce a CIETAC arbitral award in Hong Kong by way of common law action for breach of implied promise to perform an arbitral award; the disputed amount is around RMB 300 million;
Acted for a client in family trust disputes involving a disputed amount not less than USD 1 billion;
Acted for a real estate company to obtain an anti-arbitration injunction and later an anti-suit injunction;
Acted for a Shandong state-owned enterprise in a HKIAC administered arbitration against a Mexican company;
Acted for a Beijing trust company in applying for registration of Mainland Judgemnts in Hong Kong.
